The slide is easily passable by ATV and alot of guys were going back to Haley. I saw one guy cross it in a small Toyota pickup which I thought was insane. The state put up a sign that says basically you are on your own past the slide. The Native access issue seems to change every year. I have difficulty remembering the situation one year from the next. We camped out upstream of the O Brien Creek bridge and the boats launched at the mouth of O Brien. So last year access was not an issue.
