sight fishing kings on Kenai?
Posted by alaskanfishguides on May 02 2006
The only water open to fishing for Kings on the KP the last 2 weeks of June are the Kasilof and Kenai, neither of which are conducive to sight fishing... both are glacier fed, big, deep and fast (though not as bad as July).  Typical visibility at least on the Kenai in June is between 15 and 20 inches..  Folks do fish fish on the Kasilof at Crooked Creek and do fairly well in June.

You might check fishing areas above Anchorage in the Mat/Su Valley, however your looking at 5-6 hour drive from Homer.

Good luck.
