Fishing is starting to pick up in Seward. Last weekend there were some nice Kings taken in the Bay it was a late tide bite. Charters are catching some nice halibut. One came in a couple of days ago over 150. It is the typical early season fishing, deeper water slower tide bite but limits are being taken and none of the boats are running very far.
That is the good news, the bad news is that fuel is close to 3 dollars a gallon and it is still snowing here. So if you don't mine a little snow or paying the fuel prices....it might be time.

Unless the politicians stop blameing each other over rising fuel costs in Washington DC and do something to lower prices, that you will see a fuel surcharge or rising rates on fishing charters.
