No question in my mind!

The answer in my mind is very simple: Call Chihuly's Charters www.ptialaska.net~chihuly, or Catch a Lot Charters, or Ninilchik Charters and book a combo trip.  I personally fish with Chihuly's and have always had a great time, and caught plenty of halibut.  The kings should be going fairly well in the middle of May.  This definitely fits your request with only a 3 1/2 hour drive from Anchorage (probably 4 1/2 from Wasilla).

If you do choose Seward, look at Semaka Charters.  All of the above charters are family owned and operated and will definitely treat you as family.

Good luck.
