I am looking to perfect the rig I use for catching sockeye. In the past I have used a gamakatsu hook with egg loop knot and Chartruese yarn tied to about three foot of leader. This is tied to a 3/4 oz sinker with built in swivel. I plan on making an adjustment this year and using the same rig with 1 difference. I will use a sliding egg sinker above a swivel. I think this will give me a little more feel for the fish as the line is able to slide through the sinker. Can you guys give me an idea of what you use or any improvements to my rig.
