Kenai fishing around Soldotna
Posted by Cast Iron on Apr 20 2006
We will be traveling to the town of Soldotna the middle to the last of July to fish the Kenai river and surronding areas.  Are bucktail jigs legal to use?  If so what size and colors produce best.  We will be fishing for all species available at this time.  We will be using casting and spinning gear mostly, but will be fly fishing some to.  Any help as to what type of bait, what color, what size will be very helpful.  I would like to use some bucktails because I tie them myself but I have herd that some of the laws say your hook must be a certain distance from your weight?  Thanks for any help.
