First lure I put on when looking for Silvers is a #4 Silver Super Vibrax by Blue Fox then other colors like I mentioned before. I also love lead head jigs any color but black with black and yellow marabou is tops and then hot pink. Also never fish in Alaska with out a Pixee, for silvers I like the 1/2 oz with the pink insert.
