Not on my 4-5 rods, or even up to a 7 wt., but on my 9 wt., I frequently run an 11 wt. shooting head. Be careful about comfortability and being able to cast it all day. But these rods are generally for throwing heavier flies, so you definitely have to work up to throwing those all day anyways. But the overlining works well.
