Overlining
Posted by The Cleaner on Apr 16 2006
Flyfishers frequently "overline" their rods one weight (10WT line on a 9WT rod for example) so it shouldn't cause you a problem.  This setup helps in certain casting situations.  The problem I'd worry about is whether or not your rod and reel make a good balance so you can cast all day.

Maybe you could stick your reel on the rod you are interested in and see if it feels right.  Most fly shops could probably work this out w/ you.
