Hey Mike and others-
I use the ADF&G fish count database which is updated the next day for the previous day's count. The link is below. When the count gets up over 40,000 a day, I look to go on the very next day there isn't a planned commercial opening, then check for emergency openings before heading down. Once the count starts to climb over 40k it will really climb the next couple of days and I have managed to hit the river when there's 70-90k fish going up. Works pretty good for me!
