Well, if I'm not mistaken, the Kenai sockeye forecast is way down compared to the last few years. Assuming the forecast turns out to be accurate, commercial fishers will get less time, and the escapement into the river will also be less.

The past few years, the escapement into the Kenai has significantly exceeded the goal, even after deducting the in-river catch (P.U. and sport)...even with the commercial fishing e.o.'s.
