I use a pot puller and just dump the line into a bag as I pull the pots and have never had it tangle. This goes for leaded and non-leaded line. Definately put a weight on the non-leaded (poly) line so that it hangs down and doesn't float near the surface. Had a leaded line hang up once, but it may have instead been the pot that hung up.
