[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] King Salmon Lures Posted by fish2live on Apr 12 2006 I dont see a lot of people say it a lot but I fished the gulkana at the campground from shore and caught 9 between 17 and 48 pounds in about 7 hours on wiggle warts. The water was clear and I had the best luck on bright green and red and one on yellow. It was awesome. I caught 11 in Fairbanks on the same lures in one day from the bank with the largest at 52 pounds. The Fairbanks kings are a whole different animal than the Gulkana kings. Gulkana are much fresher.
