Waders for AK

Howdy All!!
I have enjoyed reading the extensive knowledge you all seem to have, and I am excited to have my first post on the forum. I left my tattered, beaten and all around abused neoprene waders back home in MN when I moved here to AK about 7 months ago. I am anxious to get my flies wet again, and I am wondering about any special considerations for fishing Alaska's streams and rivers(temps, neo/breathable, etc). I am located in Anchorage, and I assume that the temps of the rivers vary throughout the state, so a good all-aroudn wader is what I am looking for. I can find them on my own, looked at several pairs last weekend at the Sportsman's show, but didn't buy anything. ANy thoughts or advice is greatly appreciated! Keep posting!!
