battery

If you are saying you do not have a battery for your boat motor, then you will have to get one. I would go for a snowmobile or motorcycle battery. I would also get the glass-mat or other type that can not spill if they are turned over. It will also depend on how long you plan to use the fishfinder before you charge the battery. I would think a decent motorcycle battery should last quite a while. I used to use a small deep cycle battery, and it would run the fishfinder a week or more between charges.
If in doubt stop in at Batteries Plus on International. They should be able to point you in the right direction.
Good Luck,
Patrick
