As for me, I like clams a bit, but not more than one or two meals. As such, I have no interest in bringing home my limit of clams, but I sure do enjoy going out there. My wife and I never bring a clam gun, nor do we bring a shovel. All we take is a bucket, some raingear, and our hands for digging. It's a blast to dig through the mud, and it's really quite a challenge. Those clams can dig almost as fast as you can, so you'll find that you miss as many as you catch. So...if you want a bucket full of clams, bring the gun or the shovel, but if you want to have a blast - leave the tools behind and dig like a madman!
