I have tried several brands and used 50 lb test. I was very unhappy with the result as it would break very easily compared to mono. Not sure if it this was caused by stress from abrasion or not but for rivers I finally went back to mono. Braided is the greatest thing invented for halibut fishing but not for rivers.
