Dipnets
Posted by B_M on Apr 06 2006
Well, I don't have the info you're looking for, but I thought I'd throw this out there.  I bought a dipnet at Sportsmans Warehouse last year and was extremely happy with it.  I spent a lot of time looking at the other nets when I was down on the Kenai last year and came away convinced that the one I got at SW was among the best nets available.  The handle was long, but more importantly, was very stable and easy to control.  The netting was a little too deep for my tastes, but otherwise it was awesome.  I'm usually a  beleiver in supporting the local businesses, but in this case I'm glad I got the net I did.  Actually, they buy their nets from a local manufacturer (not sure who?), so in essence I was supporting a local business.

If you don't find what you're looking for, take a look at SW as we get towards July.  If they have the same nets this year, I highly recommend them!
