You should be wary of the hole river
Posted by Paul H on Jun 20 2003
Unless you are very experienced running swift rivers in a boat, you might want to reconsider running the copper, especially in an inflatable.  I would be more conerned about trees and other debri floating down river then rocks.

I've dipped the Copper for many years, from shore, and have seen a fair number of boats going up and down.  A small inflatable w/ 30 hp will make it up river, just barely.  Consider what would happen if you had an engine failure though.

You might want to consider dipping the Kenai, I'd resisted doing that for years do to my concern about crowds et al, but after dipping there for the first time last year, I have no plans to return to the Copper.
