I've dipnetted once at the Copper River from the bank.  I know the current is swift.  Based on the boats/HP you've seen that work there, would you think a 30 HP long shaft outboard (prop, not jet)on a 16-ft. inflatable would work?  Are there lots of obstructions (rocks, etc.) that someone not familiar with the river should be wary of?
