Kenai Guide
Posted by alaskanfishguides on Nov 23 2005
TexasTea,
You are very wise to begin your search for a Kenai River Guide early. Many of the popular guides book the peak times very quickly.
There certainly are an abundance of guides on the Kenai, so spend your time looking over web sites and forums like this to get information. Try to find the guide service that best fits YOU...
Most of the guides on the Kenai are personable, safe and great fishers. One thing of utmost importance, however is to ensure that the guide is licensed by the United States Coast Guard as a Captain, permitted by the Alaska State Parks and insured.
Indeed many of the guides are networked with each other, helping each other out. If you see a guide on a cell phone (typical on the Kenai), most likely they are speaking with other guides on the river checking conditions and success. The guides that I work with (like most all guides) are all committed to customer service and doing their best to put the clients on the fish.
Hope that helps. If I can do anything for you or answer any other questions send me an email.
