Mooching

Hello,
Need some help on mooching for salmon,I have never had a reason to mooch for salmon till this coming year, and that is one method that has passed me by till this coming year,in and around Cordova just fished the bay's,river or stream mouths, need to find what it takes,
weight sizes, poles for mooching, line size and so on, any help will be great. Will be fishing out and around Elfin Cove, Icy Strait area this year............Thanks any and all help.
