hey Kevin, You sound like an Alaskan already!   C.O.L. in Anchorage is fairly comparable to Colorado and surely cheaper than some areas like Vail or Teluride. We looked over Colorado Springs in '97 and came to Alaska instead.  Too many people, too expensive there.

Don't know your profession, but with the great wages here you'd probably be money ahead for that elusive house. The only problem is you'll be too busy fishin, huntin, climbin, raftin, hikin, etc in your free time to appreciate that pad. Well, I guess thats what winter is for...when you aren't boondocking or highmarking with the sled.   :D
