The more research I do for this week long fishing trip next summer, the more I want to be up there for more than a stinkin' week! I'm young, single, and should be completely out of debt shortly (knock on wood). I'm confident I could find a job in my profession quite easily...it wasn't tough finding one in Colorado. Is this a no-brainer? I need some adventure, man!

What's the cost of living in the Anchorage area (any population center) compared to CO? It's kinda (really) spendy here. I've lost hope for finding a house to buy here.
