Lots of ice
Posted by francko on Nov 11 2005
I fished Fire Lake last Saturday (the 5th) and there was a consistant 6" of clear solid ice at every hole we drilled from the outlet end to the small point at approximatley the half way mark (south to north) of the lake. So I am sure that there must be even more ice after another week of sub-freezing weather. The fishing itself was very slow as we only had two flags and was not able to hook either fish.

I'm going to give it a try again today and see if the cloud cover will make a difference. I know that makes a big diffrence in the lower 48 when fishing for pike.

Good luck!

Dan

PS- I drove by Cheney Lake Wendsday and it looks like people have been fishing and ice skating on it too.
