keep an open mind

Pick up a copy of Alaska Fishing: The Ultimate Angler's Guide, Deluxe Third Edition -- by Rene Limeres . Best and most reliable book out there for info on AK Fishing. Study it,pick a target species, pay attention to run timing and pick a region that works for you and your budget. If you've got good camping gear/skills you can get on very remote water for much less than $1200-1500 for your whole trip including all airfare and bush flights.

I realize the info provided by people is well meant on this site but  I've been reading this for about a month now and can't help but notice most people who post here also have something to sell. So,pescador, keep an open mind when reading info given. I really felt the ding against fishing from Dillingham is just bad info. There is allot of great stuff north and in surrounding areas. Couldn't help but notice his lodge was, just by chance, in King Salmon... I have no ties to D-ham at all,I live in Denver, btw.

Anyway,last post to this site.

Good luck on your trip.
