charter IFQ's
Posted by homerdave on Nov 03 2005
if the halibut sport IFQ plan goes through it is inevitable that a similar plan for rockfish will be right behind it.  once  charter operators are limited in the pursuit of halibut they will turn to other species, and (i have heard) F&G is already anticipating more stringent rockfish and lingcod limits, and the possibility of sport IFQ's for them.

oh yeah, gotta blow my horn about the methyl mercury content of the old rockfish and lingcod. DO NOT feed it to your young kids, or women who are expecting or planning on expecting.
