My family and I usually stay out 3-4 days on summer fishing trips, we're mainly after halibut.  I do my best to avoid yelloweyes but often moving to a new spot just means more of them. With multiple fishers onboard we stay under the bag limit and oftentimes eat our rockfish catch during the trip. I'm not advocating catch and release on these species but having an alternative to harvesting everything you catch would seem to be worth considering.
