River fishing in Sept while float hunting

Like some advice on what fishing is like in mid Sept.on rivers.
I will be doing a float hunt for moose in unit 21 and would like to fish along my float trip. What can I catch that time of year? Best baits? Are salmon still running? Was planning on taking a fly rod/ spin cast combo with me. Thanks.
