Lost pots

  How do you figure that using a bouy big enough to float your gear that it will end up in Eygpt?  That is a looong way to go.  Do they even have shrimp over there?
  if you use enough rope to compisate for tide change, they are not going any where..
  Could it be that your pots are sinking and not being stolen?  Maybe the line is getting tangled up on the way down and it is then not long enough to hit bottom and bouy not big enough to float it so it sinks???  Just a thought...
