Bouy Size
Posted by LipSnatcher on Nov 02 2005
Be very careful using a large enough bouy to "float" all the gear below it! Your pots will end up in Egypt!!!
I have made several posts on shrimping in the sound that tells what I use and how I fish for them. I am not the "guru" of shrimping.
But I do pretty good.
I have lost atleast $3500 in pots and line in the last 2 yrs. I had 15 Donaldson round pots stolen this year. yes I said stolen!!! I have fished my spot for over 5 yrs. There is no ledge to throw them off.
I will average 60 lbs of tails per weekend!! Hint: "don't waste your entire summer shrimping. I fish them 1 month per summer...
Just becareful selecting bouy size.. :=)
