If you are a spinner that fish is a sucker for a processed salmon egg. Cast just about anwhere you would assume they are holding. (holes/bends/even open stream) Pitch beyond your field of view into the water and reel swiftly and the species will chase it.
Stall your presentation when the fish come into your sight. The moment it is picked up, they will spit it out at the sensation of steel. Set your hook BEFORE they spit and they are yours. This is assuredly no contest if you are after flesh, and the technique is downright deadly. I call it, "Chase the Egg".


If you are on catch-and-release bend down the barb to prevent injury...
