I'm going to be doing a float next week on the Kanektok. I've been checking the weather at Bethel and Quinhagak and find they've been having record high temps and there's enough smoke in the air to reduce visibility.

Pardon my ignorance but I thought that area was tundra. Does tundra burn?

Is there a website that will give the location of the fires?
