Could it be?
Posted by George on Aug 13 2005
I was there a couple of years ago to get in some late silver fishing about the end of the run. I parked near the top of the walkway- very few folks there (nice change!) and it was getting late in the afternoon. I noticed a guy- kinda odd looking and acting, a wanta be Rambo type- at the top of the walkway. And yes he had a tricked-out SKS and I think a large sheath knife strapped on but NO fishing pole. He headed down the stairs a few minutes ahead of me and I lost track of which way he headed after reaching the river. This fellow most assuredly had "bear-a-noia"!! and was armed for bear protection- or I should say had found an excuse to carry all that crap- because of the bear activity around the Russian. This recent story makes me wonder if it was the same nut???
