Hello all,

If anyone could please give me their advice I would really appreciate it.

I am a 28 year old avid sportman here is Wisconsin, and I have a last minute trip to Alaska that I am trying to plan. I understand that I am WAAAYYYY LAAAATE on getting this trip sorted out, but the circumstances could not be avoided. I have enjoyed many years of bow and gun hunting sucess here is Wisconsin and of course fishing. I realize that Alaska is totally different, and...............I'm just a bit overwhelmed with trying to make the most of the 15 days that I have.

I am flying into Anchorage on the 26th of August, and back out the 10th of Sept. I have a Jeep Cherokee reserved. Other than airfare & a vehicle....that's it! I am looking for reasonable suggestions on what I can hunt and where from anyone with experience.

I understand that buying a liscense over the counter is possible for Black bear & Moose???? Caribou??????????

I am a do-it-yourself type and prefer suceeding independently. Besides.....I can't afford a guide.

Can anyone please give me some hunting & fishing suggestions with this time frame.

Any and all ideas welcome!!!!
