The float
Posted by TradBow on Aug 12 2005
Why not just go.  Float it once to gain experience on the river and do little fishing (unless of course you see a ton of fish somewhere).  Then go back and redo it  sometime later on and really fish it.  There are certain places I've constantly seen fish holding in and others they seem to just move through, you'll find them easy enough.

Stick to the left at the first Y, I go straight when it shows the raft pull out on the left.  THere is a little bit more water there then there is down that left side.  Either way you'll hit the big su and float down into the combat zone.  Row upstream through that first braid where everyone is fishing, you literally can't miss it.

You can put in at the campground on the north west side, OR you can put in on the south east side but risk people screwing with your rig.  Can't say we've had this happen yet though it wouldn't suprise me.

Good partners especially experienced ones are a nice commadity however they are just that.  If you wait your lifetime to find the perfect one, you may never go!
