Fishing tactics needed for Tanana river and Valdez

I am headed to AK for my first visit on August 11, and would like a little bit of help on some tactics for several different fish..
1st I am headed to fairbanks and we will be headed out on the Tanana river fishing for Northern pike.. I would like to know what other fish to except to find on this river system and what tactics are used.. We plan on trolling the river with spoons for the Pike. Are there any salmon that come up this far into the river system? The days we will be here is Aug 12 to the 16. Are there and rainbow trout to be cought? Also sheefish and dolly varden? What tactics are used if so?
From fairbanks we head to Valdez with the boat to try our luck on some Salmon. We will be fishing for the most part right out of Valdez.. What area shall we try and for what species? I have heard the silvers are in.
In the bay what other sport fish is there to try for? Rock fish, lingcod, and shark? We planed on trolling again here as well.. What tactics should be used for the diferent fish here?
Any help will be greatful..
