i am coming out to alaska for my first time, spending most of our trip on the kenai peninsula, walk-in fishing.  i have been looking for maps that show some of the fishing access points, trails, campgrounds,roads, etc...for several of the rivers. i came across "alaska outdoor journal" maps for about $5 each and was wondering if anybody has seen them or know if these maps are any good?  

is it worth trying to buy maps before coming out, or just wait until i get out there and try to find something?  

any recommendations on maps would be appreciated
