The Float
Posted by Tibs on Aug 08 2005
Just finished the float last night.  Basically the river floated us down at about 2 mph. With 42 miles to go, we decided to paddle most of it.  We were able to do it in about 18 hours.  We were late getting start on Friday, so we really didn't have a chance to stop to fish.  Fishing seemed a bit dead over there too.  Most of the silvers appear to be in the lower parts of the river still.  Water is low, but I don't know what the normal level actually is.
Overall though, it was an enjoyable float.  Hope to do it again next year, but with an earlier start so I can stop to fish!!!!
