If you hit weather anything like today you would be stuck downtown doing the tourist thing in multiple layers of raingear. The start of decent stream fishing for coho starts about that time. As AA said I too would opt for the rental car and head out the road to Cowee Creek (about an hour from downtown) and give it a try. Also having your own transportation frees you up to do things at your own pace without having to rely on cruise bus schedules.
