I was down there two weeks ago and the sow/cubs weren't bothering anyone (except for the unfortunate family who brought everything but the kichen sink onto the sandbar at the confluence. they made a mess of it. quite funny actually). None of those bears had any interest in the people at all. They were just looking for fish to eat. I'd like to hear how this all transpired. If anyone finds out, post it here.
