The newborn might be a problem...but if so, leave the wife and child alone for a half a day.
If you can get to the Kenai, I would suggest stopping by troutfitters and having a trout charter...the rainbows should be great during that week in september, and even if they arent, the troutfitters know where the fish are...it would be a good time.
