The past few years, we haven't been able to run trebles in the Ditch during the first run. Regs do allow it this year.

In clear water streams, a sound single hook set up works fine ... in the dirty water of the Kasilof, you miss a lot of fish on either set up, but definitely less on the treble set-up as I think a lot of fish grab at these a little more haphazardly than they do in cleaner water conditions.

I'll probably start with these until a client harvests a fish, and then switch them over to single 4/0 off the back eye on a swivel which was the best I found in there in past years.

Early-run fish being smaller, usually no bigger than about 30lbs. typically, we run 25 lb. test straight to the plugs :)
