something fishy...

i asked the guy i fish halibut what he pays his crew drifting the inlet and he felt that 10% was a starting wage for the fishery.  he fishes with only one crewman, and that is pretty typical. he might have a second crewman during the peak, but that is only a few days.

in bristol bay a drift crew might be 3 hands and a skipper, but that would be unusual in the inlet.

1% isn't worth getting out of bed, let alone your expenses incurred to fish!
