Gil Net Fishing Question
Posted by rtspecial on May 21 2005
I'm going to be gill net fishing off of the kenai this summer, I'm working for a man from my town who owns a fresh seafood place. this will be my first time fishing in alaska.  I'm just wondering from everyone's experience here, what percentage of the total catch should i be making.  I believe that my crew consists of only 4 other guys.  I have heard various things from the grapevine that i should be making as much as 8% but i don't know if that is true.  I suspect that i'll probably be making 1% of the catch.  should i continue through with this? what should i ideally be getting paid?  Your responses are appreciated.                  -ryan
