Cook Inlet freeway...

If you take a look at a map you'll note the inlet is the liquid throughfare that extends all the way from end of the Kenai Peninsula north to the environs of the Susitna drainage. Chock full of fish? U-betcha!

But if you're talking about the mush of the Cook near the Knik Arm wash, most locals don't fish in it. Rather they angle where clear water goes into it.

One thing is for sure, there sure ain't no Florida whiting or sheepshead in it...
