Upper Kenai
Posted by Wayneak on May 18 2005
I'd recommend the Upper Kenai.  You can stop and fish for reds at the confluence of the Russian and also drift for rainbows.  It would be a little more pleasant and scenic than back-trolling for kings on the Lower Kenai.  I'm not going to promote a specific guide service, but you could Google Cooper Landing, Upper Kenai River float or drift trips.  You may also be able to do a combo king/halibut trip instead of all halibut fishing on thecharter that you have set up.  Not sure if you want to catch some salmon or to have a river experience.
