Nushagak Kings
Posted by Tom A. on May 17 2005
Heading out to Aleknagak to visit my nephew at the end of June. I was interested in fishing reds and wasn't aware of the peak of Kings at that time. I guess we will just have to go fish Kings, oh well.... I was wondering about the Nushagak and fishing techniques. We have plenty of boat so we will be on the river along with everyone else. I have read that kwickfish are the ticket. Do they work better with a herring wrap? Also interested in using eggs. Has anyone tried drifting eggs below a slip bobber. Maybe cover a little more water? Is anchoring allowed, Will I make too many enemies if I do?
Thanks for the info.
