There is still water flowing out of the tail race, which is what feeds the power plant. As for the Knik, the upper portion will not likely start to flow for another 4 weeks or so, rain or glaciar melt depending. The tributary is higher than the rest of the river on the upper end. I do not know though when they will open the parking lot, not sure what they are doing there as far as finishing. This year will be a fourth year return and look for a peak around the second week of June. Also expect a million and a half fishermen from Anchorage to be out there, kinda sad to see a good old fishing spot being turned into a human zoo... 60 or so parking spots plus the upper end parking.
