May 12th Montague Island trip
Posted by SENTINEL on May 13 2005
I took advantage of the calm seas in PWS and cruised my 18' Achilles to Schooner Rock. It was a long trip, and my Merc 115 slurped 60 gallons of fuel during the day, but we got into the butts. Threw back a couple of twenty pounders and a half dozen five to ten pounders, then moved to just east of the northern most "finger" of eastern Montague Island in 100 feet of water and nailed a 50 and 100 pounder. My buddies lost five of my circle hooks and cannonballs when I wasn't paying attention which ended the fishing for the day.

Two trips in a row now cut short by others raiding MY tackle box and bait. From now on gas money ain't enough...No gear, no board.
